Course

SWIM

The swim leg is a 500m ocean swim in the calm and sheltered waters of the Lady Bay.

BIKE

A technical bike leg sees cyclists head along Viaduct Road, turn left at the roundabout into Stanley Street and left again into Macdonald Street. After a short hill climb, there is a left hand turn at the ‘T’ junction to Pickering Point, with a 180 degree turn back to to the ‘T’ junction. Another left turn will take cyclists around the roundabout at Thunder Point before the hill descent back on Macdonald Street, which cyclists will follow until just short of the Elliot Street/Harris Street roundabout. It is just prior to the roundabout that another 180 degree turn is required, followed by a left hand turn back into Stanley Street, and a right onto Viaduct Road. Cyclists will complete 4 laps of this circuit – 20km in total.

RUN

Runners will follow the footpath along Viaduct Road before a right hand turn into Worm Bay Road (at the Lady Bay Resort/skate park). This road will be followed through to the car park and a short, sharp hill ascent will see runners emerge onto the promenade footpath, where they will turn right and follow this path back to transition. 3 laps are required of this circuit – 5km in total.
